(and i'm hungry too)

am zonked. i SURRENDER my brain to the forces of inertia!

i woke up at 8 today so i could reach my fren's house for a yet-to-be-revealed mission at 10. i was pretty pleased (pretty and pleased. hahaha. alright, just pleased.) that after only about 6 hours of sleep, i was awake as a bird and ready to burst into song as i brushed my teeth. that, of course, did not happen. i reached the interchange at 10 on the dot, only to find that my other partner-in-crime has just woken up. she stays a million miles away. so i called the owner of the mission HQ. no answer. now you understand why i always mention renewing my catalogue of frens. anyway, turns out after about 10 minutes that the said girl was showering. so i took the chance to shop in the nearest NTUC for my favourite snack of Ritz and chilli tuna. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. after which i made my way up to the HQ and everyone else came and we lived happily ever after.

some time later i made my way to tanglin mall to meet my attention-deficient SC girlies. it was a 45 minute bus ride. however shocked you may be, please keep it to yourself. repeat after me, "ros takes public transport." do that twenty times. anyway, i thought the bus ride was pretty therapeutic. i emerged with such peace i contemplated going back up again.

i'm joking.

anyway, because you may disagree about bus rides being therapeutic, and rightly so, i hereby list a few factors why this bus ride was a good one:
1. there was aircon.
2. the bus was big. the longish kind. (no claustrophobic feeling)
3. the bus was almost empty when i boarded.
4. which means i had a seat.
5. there was no mobile TV--that noisy, distracting thing.
6. throughout the ride, no loud ah lians or aunties or bitching schoolgirls. or gruffy uncles.
7. i had jason mraz crooning in my ears.
8. the bus was smell-less, as good as new.
9. i could feel the warmth of the sun on my face. which i like.

(i wanted to give 10 reasons but i just couldn't think of anymore.)

so.

i kind of learnt some things today too.
like you know how people say it's good to voice your fears? (i don't know who said that, but i'm sure somebody did) i think it's true. when i shared what i feared i realised it sounded stupid. and that's a good realisation. because then it goes away!

and i realise you can plonk my SC frens in a supermarket and they will be completely delighted. it's a strange, strange phenomenon. they even requested for supermarket vouchers for their birthdays. so much for all that effort and time spent creating magnificent collages and whatnots! haha. there you go. SC girls are potentially good housewives. whoever said that we are taitais-to-be who will do nothing but splurge the husband's hard-earned cash??

though, a little side note, i haven't caught on the characteristic SC baking bug (it's another mystery, SC girls LOVE to bake), NTUC is not a haven for me, and i shop like a man when i'm in there. see, grab, go.

(with the exception of organic supermarkets. those are just too interesting. they're like, the grocery store of the future....)

oh yes.

and i don't like supermarket vouchers.
